Founder & Creative Director

Miya Whitehouse is the conceptual architect behind The MIYA Label and MIYA Studios — two interconnected platforms built around sound, structure and identity.

With a background in corporate design, human-centered design, and perception psychology, her work moves seamlessly between visual systems, sonic architecture, and creative direction. A classically trained musician and active DJ/producer, she combines analytical clarity with emotional depth.

The artistic identities within The MIYA Label — Miya Whitehouse, Miyami, and Miya from Space — are deliberate structural decisions. Each project carries its own sonic language, narrative tone, visual system, and emotional atmosphere. Genres are clearly defined. Aesthetic worlds are intentionally separated. This segmentation creates focus, coherence, and authenticity — while remaining part of one overarching framework.

At the same time, there is no strict separation between disciplines in her process.

A visual identity often begins with a sense of rhythm.
A track already carries a visual world.
A brand concept may start with a tonal atmosphere long before it becomes graphic form.

For Miya, sound and design are not parallel practices — they are different expressions of the same structural thinking.

Everything is interconnected.
Everything is intentional.

Not built around persona but around perspective.
Not driven by noise but by clarity.

Soundwise Miya Whitehouse stands for hypnotic rhythms, driving basslines and atmospheric buildups that captivate the crowd – blending Deep House and Tech House with shades of UK Garage, Dark Disco and urban-infused Afro grooves. Her sets and productions are shaped by emotional depth, storytelling and sonic flow.

Trained in classical piano from the age of eight and with vocal studies across pop and opera, she brings decades of musical experience into every beat.

Language has always been central to her creative expression – and it echoes through her music. Her lyrics are given space to unfold; her melodies carry emotion, subtext and depth. Her productions are inspired by travels, city noise and field recordings – fleeting moments that she captures and translates into sound.

After multiple releases under her soundproject Miyami., she now steps into her main artist identity. As a Tomorrowland Academy Certified Artist and founder of The MIYA Label, she launched her producer debut in 2025 with “Heartware” – mystical, driving, emotionally precise.
